1714 Mexico 8 Escudo Die 9 or State type S found in 1964.
This piece is a fully dated 1714 GRAT. The coin has wonderful surfaces, a nearly full shield and a well centered cross on the reverse. Note that the 1714 date (located on the reverse rather than the obverse) is full. The shape is somewhat unusual but in no way detracts from the overall quality of the coin. GRAT specimens are rather rare. This one had previously been listed for sale by Dan Sedwick in 1997.
