The Real Eight Company finds a second nearly intact treasure chest containing silver coins at the Cabin Wreck site, near Sebastian, Florida.
June 17 – 19, 1973. The fourth major Real Eight auction offered 609 Lots of silver and gold coins plus 58 Lots of artifacts at Sotheby’s Parke Bernet sale in New York City.
The “Tricentennial Royal” and over 50 other gold coins are found by the Schmitt Family near Fort Pierce, Florida.
