DATELINE: Vero Beach – Day 1 of Commemoration Week

Today is the first full day of Commemoration Week events.  The Indian River County Main Library sponsored a book signing which featured a number of authors including Dr. Eugene Lyon, Ernie Richards, Margaret Weller, Robert Westrick, Dr. Timothy Walton, and Terry Armstrong, to name a few.  The event was well attended and sales were brisk.  Pictures of this event will be posted later in the week.

At the moment, I am at the Mel Fisher Treasure Museum in Sebastian where noted 1715 Fleet luminaries are providing interesting treasure stories to an eager audience.  In addition to Taffi Abt, Bill Moore and Brent Brisben also gave presentations.

    Wish I had know about this sooner. If so , I’d be down in Florida with you today. Looks like great fun!
