Coin Description: Full and complete date 1714 Mexico Eight Reales. 22.0 grams. Partial “OMJ”. Except for the date and part of the “OMJ” and shield, the rest of the obverse features are non-existent. The reverse shows virtually no detail and corrosion. Wonderful square shape with dominant hammer marks on all four sides of the obverse. Corners show blunting intentionally administered during the minting process to reduce sharp points.
