Coin Description: Full date 1712 Mexico Eight Reales. 24.8 grams. Nearly complete “OMJ”. Obverse shield about 70% complete. Hammer marks visible on obverse. Reverse shows reasonably well centered cross nearly complete. All lions and castles in all quadrants are visible and nearly completely distinct, which is unusual. Some reverse hammer marks are visible. This coin also shows light sediment in some of the obverse and reverse devices which adds to the character of a coin.
